Or, Some Things You Might Like To Know.
I really think this job should be a lot of fun. For the good of everyone involved.
‘Fun’ translates into relaxed performances, creative problem-solving, and honest, open storytelling: pretty good things in this line of work. I’m a commercial and narrative director with a background in a variety of production and crew roles spanning more than a decade, including work as a copywriter, production designer, cinematographer, editor, producer, and as creative director for a national luxury brand. I’ve directed campaigns for international beauty and lifestyle brands, sports clubs, pharmaceuticals, governments, schools, charities, fashion labels, wineries, and tourism, as well as short films, music videos and new media like narrative podcasts and interactive media. And while commercial directing is my professional focus, I continue to develop long-form work for audiences here and abroad, across genres and platforms. I’m the volunteer state co-ordinator for the Australian Directors’ Guild, I lecture sessionally at various SEQ universities, I host a free-writing group online, and I run creative filmmaking workshops for highschool students.
I’m a country girl who loves poetry, painting and pasta (Italian name, Italian game)… and I believe that it’s simply impossible to describe a woman in just a paragraph and a half.
